Important Update: Temporary Fishery Closure

To all our valued anglers, please be advised that Sunrise Lakes is temporarily closed until further notice.

As you may be aware, the current extreme weather has brought exceptionally high temperatures and lowered our water levels. Combined with reports of KHV at other fisheries in the region, the stress on the fish is exceptionally high.

Our priority has always - been and will always be - the health and welfare of our stock. To protect them during this vulnerable time, we have made the difficult decision to pause all fishing activities.

We are monitoring the water temperatures, oxygen levels, and local KHV reports daily. We will reopen as soon as conditions are safe for the fish.
